Seagate FireCuda 530 For PCIe 4.0 Lovers 2

It Might Say Seagate, But We Know A Phison PS5018-E18 When We See One

The Seagate FireCuda 530 comes with the components we all know and love, Micron’s B47R 176-layer 3D TLC NAND and Phison’s PS5018-E18 NVMe 1.4 controller.  This particular implementation offers a very impressive read throughput of 5,623MB/s, the highest that KitGuru has tested even if it falls short of the advertised 7,000MB/s.  The writes are not quite as good, the result of 5,816 MB/s places it in seventh place; not that that is worth complaining about too much.

As for the operating temperature of the 2TB Seagate FireCuda 530, it peaked around 60C without a heatsink and exhibited no signs of thermal throttling.  It is a good choice for a drive that will see a lot of writes, it is rated for 2,550 TB written and also comes with a five-year warranty.  Seagate also offers a three years of their data recovery software for free, not a bad extra.
