Nintendo and its partners have a lot of exciting games in development at the moment, the problem is, we just don’t know anything about them or the status of each project. The three games that most fans want to know more about is Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.
For a few years now, Hideki Kamiya has been telling us how Bayonetta’s third outing is doing just fine, and when it comes to Metroid Prime 4, we’ve been getting updates on the project via job listings on Nintendo’s website. In terms of Breath of the Wild 2, we’ve got a first-look trailer and not much else at this stage.
Could Nintendo of America’s president Doug Bowser perhaps tell us a little more about these upcoming projects then? Unfortunately not. In the same interview with Polygon, he was asked about the status of these titles and in classic Nintendo fashion, has nothing to share right now. When they’re ready to be revealed, they will be. Here’s exactly what he had to say:
“You’ve followed Nintendo long enough to know that as we progress on any title, and we deem it’s the right moment, we will share with the community where we are in the development. At this point, though, I have nothing more that I can share on those titles.”
Based on the latest updates for each game, we’re going to take a wild guess and say Bayonetta 3 is the one we’ll be seeing first. As already noted, it’s been in development for a number of years now – so hopefully it’s ready to go by next year. Fingers crossed.
When do you think we’ll hear more about the status of these projects? Expect to see any of them soon? Tell us below.
