It always seemed like there could be a point when the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 fell behind and today’s the day. It not been left out in the cold by itself, though, as PC players have also being shafted.

The official Mortal Kombat Twitter account has announced NetherRealm will be adding cross-play across generations. This will allow past gen players to play with next gen players. The catch is, you’ll need to have access to a PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One.

At the very end of the tweet below, it’s mentioned how this feature will “not be available” on Nintendo Switch or PC. Ouch!

No reason has to been provided as to why these two versions of the game won’t be receiving cross-play, but if we hear anything, we’ll be sure to let you know.
