A Real Reason To Become A Microsoft Insider – Microsoft Flight Simulator VR closed beta 2

There Are A Few Hoops To Fly Through Before You Can Try

Interested in trying out the VR version of the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, as there is a closed beta you can try to get into which HEXUS spotted.  It is a closed beta and so there are a few qualifications you need to meet in order to apply to participate, the first of which is to be a Windows Insider.  While that won’t cost you anything but the second qualifier will, you need to own a Windows Mixed Reality headset such as the Lenovo Explorer, the Samsung Odyssey or the upcoming HP Reverb.  You will have to wait for the second round if you own a different VR Headset.

In addition you will have to provide a DXDiag to prove you meet their minimum hardware requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 (November 2019 Update – 1909)
  • DirectX: DirectX 11
  • CPU: i5-8400/Ryzen 5 1500X
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 or equivalent
  • VRAM: 8 GB
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • HDD: 150 GB
  • Bandwidth: 5 Mbps

If you meet all those qualifications, and own the new Flight Sim of course, then you can head over here to apply.
