Corsair Hits New Highs and Lows
Corsair’s newest watercooler, the H150i Elite Capellex, sports a 360mm radiator with three 120mm ML RGB 120’s from Corsair capable of rotational speeds between 400–2400 RPM, 75 CFM airflow and and plenty of RGBs. The AIO watercooling kit comes with a controller to allow you to tweak the fans and lights, as well as the pump head which sports 33 Capellix LEDs. These can also be controlled by your motherboard if you prefer.
The cooler is compatible with just about anything on the market, including Threadripper, which is no mean achievement, though TechPowerUp tested it on a Intel Core i7-8700K overclocked to 4.8 GHz. The performance is impressive, to say it is the best Corsair cooler they’ve seen is an understatement as it is the best cooler they’ve ever tested on the AIDA64 test.
That does come with some side effects, for instance they measured 55DbA at full fan speed which also makes it the loudest cooler on the chart. Even when you reduce it to 25% fan speed it will still produce 37dBA so make sure you are planning on needing the full power of this AIO cooler, it isn’t really designed for stock speeds.
At $180 is expensive but when you factor in the performance it is actually a good deal. See for yourself.
